You are different and stand out. There is something about you which distinguishes you from everyone else. It’s the glory of God upon your life and because of that glory, you just don’t fit in with the rest of the world. You feel sometimes like an outcast. You feel like no one understands you but it is because you have been called to something different. You are different. You have been called to a higher calling. You are not called to dwell with the world in low places. You have been called to greatness. Check the meaning of your name, your name means greatness. You have been called to a place where God wants to sit and commune with you and the world cannot take you to this place.
And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house. (Luke 19:2-5 KJV)
Do like Zaccheus and reach for the top of tree. Zaccheus just had to make a decision to move to a higher place, if he really wanted to see Jesus. He had to leave the crowd. At the top of the tree you are away from all the rest; you have a better view. You can see distances that no one else can see at because you have elevated yourself to a higher level. At that level there is no crowd so like Zaccheus, you have a better vision of God. It’s at that high place, away from the crowd, where a God will summon you and request the opportunity to commune with you. When you stay with the world world, you never move, you never reach the heights in God that He has for you; you never live in true purpose.
Like Zaccheus we are called to walk away from the crowd, and the pressing and pushing which comes with a crowd. The crowd can represent the world. In the world there is lots of pushing and pulling. The world is noisy and there is often no sense of direction, but when we consecrate ourselves and set ourselves apart for God, He draws nears and as He draws near, we desire more and more of Him and we become more like Him. When we move to a higher place God responds, He draws nearer for relationship and we simply live in a better place.
So my advice to you is….GET TO CLIMBING….
