The Kingdom is Great Growth

I have looked at this scripture below so many times, but never fully understood until recently. First take a look at Mark 4:30-32…

Mark 4: 30 And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?

31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:

32 But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.

…and the Holy Spirit recently gave a simple explanation.

The kingdom of God, which means all that concerns God and operating under the kingship of God; where we are working for Him, living for Him, being used by Him etc, is like a mustard seed. In other words, we put in the small effort of ministering to or praying for someone, giving someone something in need, giving a word of encouragement because we are of His kingdom. To some this is a small effort which can take as little of seconds at times, but there is something great that comes about when we plant such seeds. A great growth take place when we operate under the kingship of God and follow His commands.

When the small seed is planted, it grows and becomes bigger than all herbs and shoots our great branches. In other words, when we plant such seeds for God, the increase is GREAT. Not only does the person benefit from your kingdom-work, you are blessed for being obedient to God and following His word, and most importantly the name of the Father is glorified and is promoted.   Many GREAT things take place.

Sometimes we minister a small word to someone, and they get so excited that they share it with another person. Subsequently, that person shares it with two others and the multiplication continues.

We may give a  mere $2.oo to a friend and the friend takes $1 and gives to someone else in need. The small seed for one, was able to multiply and provided for two instead.

Isn’t it awesome what such a tiny, sometime what may seen as insignificant things we do, can reap such GREAT fruit.

Take a look at the comparison below and every time you do something for the kingdom of God to be advanced remember this.

The kingdom of God is about multiplication and growth. Let God initiate growth through you as you continue to establish his dominion here on earth.
