Angry at the Prophet… But Smart Enough

By Richard Shakarian (International President of  the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International)

General Naaman, the highly regarded and victorious commander of the Kings army…had leprosy.

He journeyed to see Elisha, bringing valuable gifts. Arriving at Elisha’s house with horses and chariots, he made sure that everyone in the neighborhood knew he was a great man!

But the prophet did not even come out of his tent! Instead, he sent his servant to tell the great general to go and wash yourself in the Jordan River seven times…

And you will be restored and cleansed!

Oh, the general was hot! He was insulted and very angry at the prophet!

He was so mad that he left in disgust. He was going home!

He thought, “The prophet did not even do me the honor of coming out of his tent!”

The general was thinking about himself and his importance.  But someone said, “My father, if the prophet had told you to do something great, would you not have done it? How much more when he tells you, ‘wash and be cleansed.'”

He was angry at the prophet…but smart enough to obey!

The great general humbled himself …so he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan 7 times as the man of God had told him. His flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy.

Over the years, I have known great men from many nations all over the world.

When a great man is humble, it is always a blessing to meet him.

When a person is arrogant, conceited or has his mind on himself…it is never a pleasant experience.

The Bible says, “Pride comes before a fall.”

To receive your healing, or your blessing…there is a simple formula.

It is the same success formula used by the great general Naaman.

He humbled himself.

He obeyed the word of the Lord through the prophet.

He received his miracle.

It is amazing how the most simple stumbling block can break the connection between you and God!

Let us search our hearts.

Let us complete our vows to God.

Let us return to our first love of Christ.

Let us do for Him…that which He has put into our hands!

As you read this letter, Vangie and I are in Asia. With the anointing of the Holy Spirit, we are working to enlarge the Kingdom of God.

Comparing the Bible and the newspaper headlines…we are living in prophetic times. Let us all do our best for the Master.

We love you and pray God’s Blessing upon you.

Jesus Light of the World

Jesus The Light Of The World!

Happy New Year to all readers. I felt like sharing this with you this morning. Blessed reading!
A Word From
Richard Shakarian

Jesus . . .  He is your sunrise to your darkest night.

God said, “Let there be light,” and the world has never been the same again.

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world”

God is using FGBMFI in a great way to expand the light – and darkness cannot stop the light from shining! In 8,000 chapters, thousands of men and women are shining the light of Christ through their anointed testimony of a changed life by the power of Jesus Christ.

Light = Life!

What does light produce?

Light enables – Vision
Light produces – Clarity
Light gives – Understanding
Light provides – Guidance (In the natural world, light is used to signal cars, trains, and airplanes) If natural light can do this, think how much more the light of Christ can give you the signals you need in your life.
Light produces – Energy
Light produces – Growth (All living things are able to grow and live because of light and heat. People are the same way, they come alive and grow as they receive the light of Christ through your anointed story.)

Light travels forever (We can see stars from 10 billion years ago! Your story of a better life through Christ is forever! Yes, forever is even longer than 10 billion years.)

Jesus said, “Ye are the light of the world. John 8:12; 9:5 A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.
