In all your ways, acknowledge Me

As christians one of our most humble cries is “God use me”. Let me reassure you that these words are like music to God’s ears because  God wants His glory to shine through you so that the world might know Him. He definitely wants to use you.

As I prayed these words, I heard the Holy Spirit respond and say “In all your ways, acknowledge Me…”

This words are taken from Proverbs 3:6. It says: In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he will direct thy paths.

Before this verse the scripture says: Trust in Jehovah with all thy heart, And lean not upon thine own understanding:
Proverbs 3:5

God wants us to put Him first in everything we do. Sometimes God gives us ideas and opportunities and because we don’t put things in His hands and ask Him for direction, we operate in self and everything gets out-of-hand.

Sometimes the devil put opportunities before us as well which are not in God’s plan for us. So we have to acknowledge and call upon God so He can direct us.

No matter what it is that you have planned or envision to do, God is saying, “Put it before Me first. Allow me to help you. Allow me to instruct you on whether you should or should not. That way, I am the one directing the ship and I will not lead your wrong“.

My desire is to be used by God and because He created me and knows my future, He is telling me to consult Him in everything I do. Today the same instruction is going out to you.

Put all your ways; all your plans before God and He will direct you. Once He is directing there will be no errors, nor accidents.

He does not want us to lean on our understanding because sometimes what we interpret is not what it really is and He wants us to see through His eyes.

My encouragement to you today: Whatever plans you have, put them before God. What you see and understand may be way off from what it is in God’s sight. So call on Him for His direction so that when you move you know it is directed by Him and Him alone.

Rx for Amazing Marriage (1)

I am not married…”YET”, but in preparation for that stage of my life I spend lots of time with God and being trained by Him and of course reading great advice from men and women and God who the Lord has chosen to use in the area of marriage counselling.

The article is written by  Reverend Haynesley Griffith, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Barbados based Family Heartbeat International Network Inc.

The article once put’s God as the centre of any healthy marriage.  The truth is, we really can’t do anything without God. Everything we do, especially marriage, should be based on the christian principles. God created the institution of marriage anyway, so what better counsellor to put in the middle?

The remedy which Rev Griffith prescribes is taken from Philippians 4:8; a scripture dear to my heart which I hold on to.

It states:

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
