Rx for Amazing Marriage (1)

I am not married…”YET”, but in preparation for that stage of my life I spend lots of time with God and being trained by Him and of course reading great advice from men and women and God who the Lord has chosen to use in the area of marriage counselling.

The article is written by  Reverend Haynesley Griffith, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Barbados based Family Heartbeat International Network Inc.

The article once put’s God as the centre of any healthy marriage.  The truth is, we really can’t do anything without God. Everything we do, especially marriage, should be based on the christian principles. God created the institution of marriage anyway, so what better counsellor to put in the middle?

The remedy which Rev Griffith prescribes is taken from Philippians 4:8; a scripture dear to my heart which I hold on to.

It states:

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

” You may think I’m only talking about sex or physical purity. But I’mnot. There’s a lot more you can save for your spouse, if that’s what you choose.

I used to struggle with the idea of saving sex for my spouse. I knew itwas the right thing to do, but I couldn’t help but think I was missing out. I was, but it would have been only a temporary sacrifice that would have turned into a priceless investment.

Saving sex for your spouse is not the only thing that will pay great dividends….”
